In 2000, when I first started writing I did not realize exactly where I would end up. My aim was to write about international reparations. I had no idea that International reparations and Human restorative law were expanding rapidly. I also had no idea that findings of ancient skeletals, forensic archaeology, paleontology or Indigenous law would play a role. Nonetheless the fusion of these multi-disciplines has explained our African American existence in the context of self-determining reparative paradigm. As a corollary to these findings I also had cause to revisit the 43 shelf life of the civil rights programs and I had no idea how incredibly inappropriate they were. Judicial appointments in the Reagan, Carter, Clinton, Bush and Bush Jr. governments enabled the United Supreme Court and Congress to color-blind and narrow the remedial measure of 87 years of the slave trade and over 100 years of racial discrimination through a series of Supreme Court decisions that denied indigenous African American people African American specific remedies However, the international research has shown that the United States tailoring of the civil rights measures were pure violations of Human rights law, which had expanded since the Nuremberg Tribunal to include a broad array of human restorative remedies. Accordingly, racial genocide is not privy to the mild narrow mechanisms of civil rights practiced by the United States. Indeed a very different political remedy of restitution, rehabilitation, compensation and guarantees of non-repetition are available. This is a very different dichotomy than having a seat at a law school or medical school this means millions of acres of autonomous land rights and trillions of dollars. I show the political procedures of restitution as a way of human restoration. We are African American and our story is unique and its legal ramifications say that we have a right to be made whole in Africa and America. It says that we are the African Americans.
